To get started, you’ll need a Google Voice Login (Gmail) and Outlook 2007 or newer. After you input your ID follow the instructions in Outlook to set up the SMS Service.

When you’re ready to send your first free SMS Text Messages with Microsoft Outlook just click new scroll down and select Text Message, choose your contact, write your message, and hit Send!

November 22nd, 2010 on 10:06 amThanks, this is working great. The only weird thing is when someone responds to the text, it goes through a server somewhere and comes back to me from some random number. this makes it hard to thread a conversation. But it is great to be able to text from outlook.
