The iPad made its debut as a consumer product, offering a new mobile platform for audio, visual media, like movies and pictures, books, games, and the internet.  However, being that the iPad has a 10 hour battery life, is light weight and  mobile, makes it a prefect device for business users.   On location data entry and faster turnaround on location updates, saves time and cuts administrative costs in half.  This makes the iPad any business’s dream machine. Several industries can really take advantage of what the iPad has to offer for business users.

The Healthcare industry is seeing a rapid use for the iPad. Hospital ipad users are seeing apps for surgery on the market. The “CV Surgery Risk” app for doctors and patients addresses the risks of heart surgery.  CV Surgery Risk can also be used by medical students and residents to prep for procedures researching outcomes. Medical students can also purchase their textbooks for the ipad driving down costs.  The  iPad can additionally organize files and charts easier. For most doctors organizing medical records can be no fun.  “Remote Scan” is an app that will get any healthcare professionals electronic medical records in order and update files.  Furthermore the iPad offers a  hands on interaction helping patients learn more about their proceeds by educational videos.

Real Estate agents are seeing the benefit of the hands on approach as well.  Real Estate agents are educating home buyers by searching local areas of listings right on the spot.  Maybe the home buyer is not that interested in the home after all; why not find more listings and custom your search to what your client wants. Keep your sales meetings all in one calendar with “ Pocket Informant” this hand app hooks up to google calendars and toodledo list synching everything in one place. The iPad includes a variety of e-mail accounts and calendars support which can come in handing in any business environment. Need to update sales documents in Microsoft office on the go.  Try “Documents to Go” this app lets you work with all forms of Microsoft office files.  Or what about all the data you collect on the go from one meeting to the next. With “Evernote“ you can have all your information in one stop “Evernote” stores, syncs and search within seconds.

The iPad has a variety of apps that can cross over to other industries, being just as successful. Apps like “Evernote”,” Pocket Informant”, “Keynote” or “ Beejive IM” can be used in multiply industries. The ipad’s easy to use mobile platform is giving a new edge to businesses that have to stay on the go. With new apps being created and discovered business users are going to see dynamic new ways to increase numbers and speed to their daily productivity.
